To say that we have a few vehicles and "toys" is an understatement.  Apparently, we have decided that we absolutely need the things we have to make the most out of our travels and increase the adventure possibilities.  Some who are of the minimalist type thinking would claim that we have too many things.  On the other hand, everything in our inventory has been thought out at length as to the items usefulness, probability/frequency of use, and how much trouble it is to take it along.  I feel that the package we have put together is well thought out, is extremely useful and functional, and the hassle factor of taking it has been reduced to a minimum.

Unfortunately, I am not yet retired so having two cars is a necessity.  I have to go to work every other week at the nearest airport with a certain minimum amount of airline service.  This could mean a several hundred mile drive.  I do not want Erika to have to drive me all that way and back every 7 days as it puts a strain on her as well as increasing risk for her.  Therefore, I will take the Roadtrek to work leaving Erika to drive her Tacoma for the week I am gone.  All of our recreational gear is in or on the Tacoma leaving all the equipment at home for her to use and enjoy.

Both vehicles are towable "four wheels down" since having Remco drive shaft disconnects installed on both.  The Roadtrek can easily pull the Tacoma so we can have the Roadtrek remain at the camp site while using the Tacoma to play.  It is apparent that we have tried to put together a vehicle package that affords us the most amount of flexibility to enjoy our time on the road.  Buck The Wonderhorse and his trailer will remain at Rancho Oso and will be taken care of and ridden by some very good friends of ours.  I will continue to ride Buck when we return to Rancho Oso most winters.
