We have arrived at Jackson Hole, WY after a spectacular cross country jaunt across the U.S.A.  It has been an unbelievably fun 3 weeks getting here.  Please check out our entries at each major stop we made as they become available.  Everything ran like clockwork including our trusty motorcoach which just purrs like a kitten.  The reliability of the Bluebird is very comforting.  Sure, anyone can have troubles at any time but so far this coach has been so solid.  Several (no, many) of our friends tell us horror stories of their coaches being non-stop in repair shops.  One recently wrote us the dealer has had their coach for 4 months now trying to fix it.

The beauty of what is around us is staggering.  I know I sound like a broken record the way I describe each place that we go.  What can I say?  It IS just staggering what we see and do on a regular, almost daily basis.  How could anyone not dream of living a life like this?  Maybe Erika and I appreciate nature's beauty more than others?  I don't know.  But what we see blows us away.  This fish hatchery is just magnificent.  It is a lovely setting with wide sweeping views of the National Elk Refuge in which it is placed.  The wildlife is all around us.  In just the first day we saw coyote, elk, geese, ducks, cranes, hawks, wild trout, muskrat, ground squirrels, and a plethora of bird species.  Nature in all it's beauty and cruelty played out before us on our very first day.  There is an elk nearby who has an injured leg.  It is alone and will probably fall to predators soon.  There is nothing we can do except watch nature's drama play out.  There were two baby geese who were left orphaned as their parents fell to coyotes.  We rescued the goslings and took them to an area where geese gather and set them free.  It appeared they were taken in and adopted by another goose.  We left hoping that the new mother would be good to them and protect them.

We will put up entries to our blog as we are able to.  We are very busy having fun as I said before in other entries.  However, it is important to us to share our experiences with you so that you too can see what a wonderful life traveling this great country can be.  We want you to join us in spirit and we really look forward to meeting you in person along our travels.  We want to hear about your personal experiences and to share tips with us on how to enjoy this life even more.  Until then, come along with us via this web site.   - Jerry

Well, I guess it has been a while since we have updated this web site!  I think it has been a result of three things.  One is we are having so much fun that we have little time to do updates.  A second reason is that it is hard work to keep a web site like this current.  Three is that we have been so darn busy with our businesses that it takes up all the rest of the time we have left from recreational activities.  Erika is very busy with her Rock and Soul Jewelry business and we are both busy with our Adventure Highway Dri Wash business.  There is no sitting around for us and we like it that way.  We have set up our lives in such a way that even our work is extremely fun and rewarding for us!!!  We love our work!!!  Anyway, please check out both of these links and take a look at our business web sites.

We think that the Adventure Highway Dri Wash is an incredible opportunity for anyone who wants to start their own home based business working for themselves.  It sure has helped us a lot in a very short amount of time.  We are absolutely delighted to help anyone who wants to join our team and begin their own Dri Wash business.  It is the easiest money we have ever made and it is a very fun business to be in.  The best part about the Dri Wash 'n Guard products is that they just sell themselves.  No kidding!

We have been enjoying Disneyworld and all of it's theme parks.  We purchased annual passes and so we come and go as we please.  We are becoming quite the experts on everything Disney as we frequent the parks.  It is fun being able to lounge around the parks rather than having to rush from one thing to another to get your money's worth.  I have to tell you, our life just could not be any better.  Won't you please join us?!!!   - Jerry

Merry Christmas to all our friends and family.  We love you all!  Today marked the grand unveiling of my new short film, "The Presence Of God", which is about my experience kayaking on Patten Pond in Maine.  I hope you enjoy it.  The full size high definition version is just stunning.  Unfortunately, that video file is too large to be placed on our site.  A smaller version may be placed here shortly.  Until then, we rely on streaming video to show you this creation.  It should be noted that Erika is singing in the choir that is heard in the music of this video.  Erika has an incredible voice and reminds me much of Karen Carpenter.

Note:  The dates of activities of our blog are approximate dates that we have done these activities.  Some activities that occurred on different days/weeks have been combined together on one date.  Some activities have been split into two different days.  We try to group similar activities/pictures together.  This blog is not meant to be historically accurate as to exactly what date something occurred.  Neither the date we put down here nor the dates of our camera pictures  are reliably correct due to our mixing and matching of items.  Some have noticed our picture dates and blog dates do not match up.  Well, probably because the cameras do not have the correct date either (which may be altered for categorizing purposes or incorrectly set) .  Think of this blog and photo gallery as a fictional account "time wise" of what we have done.  Other than that, what you see is what we have done.  So if you see an entry with a certain date, chances are that activity might not have occurred on that specific date.  Some are accurate. Some are not accurate.  This blog has always been this way.  Sorry to disappoint some of you because of this fact.  - Jerry

We have received several emails from folks who follow our exploits wondering why we have not updated our web site in over a month.  Some were worried that something had happened to us.  Fear not for we are just fine!  We have not updated the web site because our latest activities have been mostly family type stuff such as Thanksgiving dinner and several days and nights about town seeing sights and visiting restaurants.  I did not think that these activities were of interest to those who access this sight to learn about our travels.  Also, much of what we have done since we arrived in Atlanta has been very personal/private to Erika and I.  Our stay with Erika's parents/family has been an extremely rewarding time for us on so many levels.  The love and warmth that we have felt upon our arrival has been overwhelming.  With that said, our web site will be somewhat inactive until we leave for Orlando, Florida January 3, 2007.  At that time, we will continue in full force showing you folks what a great life it is to travel full time in an RV.

I may put up some entries before then as I find time for a few activities we have done.  Some of these could include our trip to the Atlanta Aquarium, a pumpkin carving contest for Halloween, and maybe a Thanksgiving dinner entry primarily for family.  It should be noted our LIVE WEB CAM is not operational right now due to trees blocking our satellite internet connection at the motorhome.  The few days we have spent in the motorhome we accessed the internet through the RV resort's wireless access.  Therefore, I have been uninspired to move the motorhome so that the satellite connection works.  Look for the web cam to be up again sometime around January 5.

Erika and I want to wish each one of you the very best Christmas and Happy Holidays!  We enjoy hearing from each and every one of you.  Thank you to those of you who checked up on us to make sure we are OK.   - Jerry

As I expected, our trip to Maine was a wild, wonderful, and very strange odyssey at times.  This trip confronted awful demons and lifted the spirit in triumph over those who previously oppressed.  This trip was a revisit for one (myself) and a whole new world for another (Erika).  Setting foot in Maine taught both of us so much about life, living, and what really is most important in our lives.

I felt at peace knowing that Maine not only used to be my home, but that it will always be my home.

We had been so incredibly busy having fun in Maine that I have not had time to update this web site at all.  When we get home from whatever activity we have done all day and into the evening, I was simply too exhausted to pick up the computer to write about our activities.  Also, we had a malfunction of our satellite internet which has kept us offline for two weeks now.  We are still awaiting delivery of new parts for our satellite system to get back up and running.  We are using a family internet connection for updates in the mean time.  I know that now we are in Georgia I will be able to rest a little and have the free time to write about our escapades.  Georgia is all about being with family.

We are visiting and staying with Erika's wonderful parents who live in Marietta, GA in the Atlanta area.  Our rig is parked at the Allatoona Landing Marina and Resort in Cartersville, GA.  It is a nice resort along the banks of Allatoona Lake.  The staff at this resort are very friendly.  Our stay in Georgia has started out nicely and we know we are going to have a great time during our time here.

We are now at Patten Pond RV Park until mid October.  We had a fabulous/extravagant seafood feast for my birthday (yesterday) compliments of Young's Lobster Pound in Belfast, ME.  Actually, the feast will go on for several days as we have way too much food.  We are in probably the most premium and sought after site at this resort.  We have complete privacy and an unobstructed view of the lake from our rig.  We could not be happier with the folks that run the resort here.  We will spend lots of time relaxing on the lake with our boat and kayaks.  It is extremely peaceful here.  Just the way we like it.  Once we get rid of the revelers on the Labor Day weekend, we will have very few people around to disturb our quest for quiet and solitude at this place.  After coming home from an active day of hiking/biking/kayaking Acadia, we will welcome the chance to sit and recharge for the next day's adventures.

I Am Baaaack!:  Wow, here we are in Maine.  This trip is over a year in the planning and implementing.  Our first stop is Searsport, ME to revisit the area I used to live as well as attend the lobster boat races.  We will spend the bulk of our time here (until mid-October) at Acadia National Park.  That place is so beautiful.  We will get to know every inch of it.  We certainly have the time and toys to make that happen.  I can't wait to kayak the ocean and some of the area lakes.  Erika has never been here before and I am excited for her in what she is about to see and experience for the first time.

The last week has been an incredibly intense week in a pleasurable way.  We have spent the last week in a deluge of love and friendship with family and friends going as far back as early childhood.  We have revisited some of the places that we can remember being the happiest in our past.  Erika and I are on cloud nine.  - Jerry

Reunions: We are stating at the Bayshore Estates Campground in Sandusky, OH for Jerry's family reunion.  We will be here until the 8th.  Afterward, we are heading to Ringwood, NJ to where Erika grew up.  She is excited about seeing her friends and the places she remembers as a child.  -Jerry

Travel Mode: Erika and I are camped out at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park-Resort at Sioux Falls.  We are here for a couple days to get Erika her South Dakota driver's license so that we can complete her transition to SD as her state of residence.  Afterward, we are heading to Sandusky, OH for my family reunion.  -Jerry

Updates delay: Our web site updates have been a little behind due to having my lap top in the shop to have it refurbished back to new condition inside and out.  That took two weeks and I suffered extreme withdrawals from not having "my baby" which I rely upon for so many things in my day to day life.  Of course, our updates and blog additions are random in nature anyway due to our wildly changing activity level from day to day, week to week.  -Jerry

Apple Users Apology:  I apologize to those of you who use Apple computers as I just discovered how badly the formatting of this web site looks on the Safari web browser.  I, myself, the formerly severely allegiant Windows user have begun to see the light of the beauty of the Apple Mac systems.  I just purchased an Intel based MacBook Pro in which I will run both the latest Windows and Apple OS.  When perusing this web site on the MacBook, I can see how the formatting of this web site is horribly mangled in places.  As I am a severely novice web designer relying completely and blindly on Microsoft FrontPage to create this web site, I am not sure yet how to correct this.  As I have time, I will investigate a remedy to this problem.   - Jerry

July 2006

RVers Of The Month July 2006!!!:  Erika and I have been selected as the featured "RVers of the Month" on the RV Resources web site.  We are honored that our web site has received this recognition.

Breckenridge RV Resort Purchase!:  We are incredibly excited to report that we have purchased site #341 at Tiger Run RV Resort in Breckenridge, CO.  Tiger Run is a beautiful resort located along the Blue River just 3 miles from the heart of Breckenridge.  It is a pull-through site capable of handling the largest RV's.  We will rent it out when we are not in Breckenridge.  If you are interested in staying at Tiger Run for an extended period of time, send us an email with the dates you are interested in and we will work you out a discounted price.  Mention you heard about us on Adventure Highway to get the best deal.

Who Is Arlene?  We have received some inquiries into who Arlene is.  Arlene is the woman that Jerry dedicated this site to.  Arlene is the Grandmother of Jerry's ex-wife, Kelley.  When Jerry was married to Kelley, the two of them moved from their home in Las Vegas, NV to Searsport, Maine to take care of Arlene in her own home.  They did so for almost two years until Arlene died a peaceful death under the love and protection of Kelley and Jerry.  The whole experience affected Jerry in extremely profound ways and changed him forever, fortunately, mostly for the better.  Many of the details of the whole situation will not be discussed but let's just say Jerry and Kelley were the best thing that could have ever happened for Arlene at that time.  I wish we could tell the whole story as it is truly gripping and dramatic what those two went through.
